Jeanne’s first trip to Malaysia
This is Jeanne’s first trip to Malaysia to meet my relatives there. The weather is extremely hot and the journey there is rush and tiring.. but once we meet everyone, the tiredness is no longer on top of the list… hee
Gong Gong first meet with Jeanne!
The next morning, Julian was eager to play something which is forbidden in Singapore… Firecrackers! We wanted to play with him last night but it was already too late.
Sand poppers!
While kor kor was busy playing, Mei mei was busy crying… as usual…
Jeanne cried and cried and cried… so much during the trip that no one dares to carry her for long… Everyone say they will understand if we are
Wen Xuan and Shao Xuan checking out how to play…
Shu Gong with Ju lighting the firecracker…
Daddy with Ju…
Lunch with everyone at Chin Foo’s girlfried’s family restaurant…
Ju busy with his “building work”.. haha
Family shot but short of jiu jiu who is in army training.. sob…
After lunch we went to da bo gong’s home as he will give us a lift back to Singapore. Da bo gong’s hobby is gardening. He has lots of different variety of fruits and vege and flowers in his garden…
Ju watching how da bo gong plant something new…
Harvesting the grown beans to bring home and cook.. hee
I like this… All things bright and beautiful!
Jeanne enjoying the breeze in daddy’s arms…
Haha.. finally not crying but SMILING!
Bouncing Egg Experiment
Can an egg bounce without breaking?
Julian loves science. We found this experiment and did with him. Try it with your child.. it’s fun!
You will need:
- 2 raw eggs
- Water
- Vinegar
- 2 transparent bowls / containers
Soak one egg in a bowl of water, and the other egg in a bowl of vinegar. Leave the eggs alone.
Few hours later…
The egg in the vinegar has changed. The shell has begun to fizz.
Day 3…
The egg in the vinegar has changed again. The shell is gone.
The egg in water remains the same.
The egg in vinegar looks and feels like rubber ball.
Day 7…
Take the egg out of the bowl of vinegar. Hold it a little bit over a basin and drop it. It bounces!
Then try the same actions to the egg soaked in water. It cracks.. of course!
Try holding the egg in vinegar a little bit more higher over the basin and drop it until it breaks… hee
This is the skin of the egg soaked in vinegar.
What had happened??
A chemical change takes place in the egg when left in vinegar. The vinegar which is acid, dissolves the calcium carbonate in the shell. The change makes the shell go soft then disappear. This is called “decalcification”
How to play the piano?
Showed Ju this video on Joe Hisaishi today and he made some comments…
They pluck out the hair then they can play the piano…
Why like that?…
So poor thing right…
Meeting Jeanne

I am not Ju Ju, I am Kor Kor!
Julian seems to be very happy with his new companion and proud with his new status. He would often tell us ” I am not Ju Ju, I am kor kor!” or “I am a good big brother!”
These are the precious moments we had managed to capture so far…
Crying on his tummy early in the morning, a forgiving brother.
Chose a toy for her taking care that it is not something small and sharp…
SHe don’t know to hold the toy yet so he turned to talk to her instead.
Talk, talk, talk…
Lying down looking at her face…
Holding her hand…
He thinks mei mei is sick…
Bathing her together with daddy…
Learning to swaddle her, his way…
Soaking with her…
She looking at him…
Nap together…
His favourite is placing her lie on his lap…
Eensy Winsy Spider…
Her head keeps “falling”…
She is very heavy!

The hands that carried Jeanne to the world… Dr Douglas Ong…

Thank God for blessing us with another child to our family, bringing Jeanne and me through this pregnancy safe and healthy, and for answering our prayers for an easy after birth…

Preparation
The big day of arrival is nearing… Nesting syndrome is setting in in the family…
Thanks to Cynthia and Joyce for all the hand me down nice baby clothes, you had helped us fill up Jeanne’s wardrobe. Also thanks to Karen for the pairs of pretty shoes for Jeanne…
The mass washing…
Ju sorting out hangers for himself and Jeanne…
Daddy added a new pole into Julian’s wardrobe at Ju’s level so that he can help himself with his own clothes.
Ju hanging all his clothes onto the new pole…
Spring cleaning… Haha.. Thanks to daddy and Ju’s hardwork! I got to rest on the couch taking photos while the work is going on…
Kitchen cleaning and lining the stove with foil to prepare for oily cooking during confinement…
We reshuffled the furnitures in Ju’s room so that there will be an empty area for Jeanne to rest while kor kor works…
After a day of hard work, we found Ju fallen asleep on the floor like this… Thank you Ju…
Ju practising to dress baby on his doll…
Next… wait…
